ENVIRONMENTAL LABELING

WE SEPARATE. WE RECYCLE

HOW TO DISPOSE OF PACKAGING PROPERLY

The Italian Legislative Decree of September 3, 2020, makes environmental labeling mandatory for all packaging components. The environmental label displays information on the proper handling of the packaging at end-of-use. Therefore, check the environmental labeling code or symbol on each item of packaging to see how to dispose of it properly*.

To clarify and simplify the management of your packaging waste, this page explains in detail the meaning of the environmental symbols and Athena’s packaging recycling procedures. Our aim is to promote respect for the environment through informed actions.

*Check the regulations in your town/city to ensure that our disposal recommendations are appropriate for the type of material. Regulations applicable only to the Italian market.

PAP 20

CORRUGATED CARDBOARD

Corrugated cardboardPAP 20 consists of two flat paper surfaces, called ‘covers’, that enclose corrugated paper. The combined action of the flat covers with the inner corrugation means the packaging is rigid and robust, making it effective for packing and transporting products.

Corrugated cardboard – used for medium/large boxes such as cylinder, piston, and power unit kits – should be disposed of in the PAPER collection.
