Athena visits Brain’s Rocca

2 October 2025
Visita brain

In recent days, Athena visited La Rocca, Brain’s family home, a long-standing point of reference in the physical and cognitive rehabilitation of people affected by severe acquired brain injuries.
The visit allowed us to experience first-hand the value of a constant commitment, built on small daily gestures, professionalism, and care for people.

Representing the company were Michele Mancassola, Vice President, and Stefania Vercesi, CMO & CSR Lead. Guided by Brain’s President, Edda Sgarabottolo, and Elio Rigotto, President of the cooperative Sogno e Vita, they had the opportunity not only to learn about the activities carried out daily at the facility, but also to see the progress of the Rocca Lab project: innovative spaces, created by restoring the historic wing of La Rocca, which will be dedicated to workshop activities and moments of sharing between guests and families.

“The passion and dedication that drive the Brain association have deeply impressed us,” said Michele Mancassola. “Seeing the progress of the Rocca Lab project allowed us to better understand the impact it can have on the lives of people and their families.”

Stefania Vercesi also highlighted the importance of the bond with the local community: “For Athena, supporting initiatives like this means turning our values of social responsibility into concrete actions. It is a way to stand close to communities and promote inclusion and growth.”

Words received with gratitude by President Sgarabottolo: “We greatly appreciated their presence,” she said, “and we are also grateful for their decision to support the Rocca Lab project with a donation. It is a gesture that goes straight to the hearts of the families we accompany every day.”

With this initiative, Athena reaffirms its commitment alongside local communities, supporting pathways that improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable people and their families.
