What are engine oil seals?
Dynamic gaskets, commonly known as oil seals, play a fundamental role in ensuring a sealing integrity between moving components within an engine. Among the various types of gaskets, particular significance is given to sealing rings, designed to ensure impeccable hermetic closure of engine shafts and valve stem seals kit, responsible for intake valves and exhaust valves.

Classic radial sealing rings for shafts have an essential structure, consisting of a metal body that not only supports the dynamic sealing lip but also performs the crucial function of static hermetic sealing. The sealing lip, mainly made of elastomeric materials, glides along the surface of the rotating shaft or valve stem. A spring ring applies a constant radial pressure to the sealing lip, ensuring perfect adhesion to the component's surface.
Especially advantageous are the rings with PTFE sealing lip, which, unlike those with elastomeric materials, do not require the use of precompression springs. This feature provides a dual benefit, with lower friction and reduced absorption, contributing to improving the efficiency of the system and extending the life of engine components.
