Founded in 1987 in Mt. Angel, Oregon, Traeger is now the company that sells the most pellet barbecues in the world. The aim of Joe Traeger, aeronautical engineer and founder of the company, was to design a wood pellet that kept heat and smoke under control at all times while cooking.
