How they work
We hear through bone conduction as we eat, drink, and even as we speak. This is the reason why our voice sounds different when we hear it in a recording or a video. When we speak we tend to hear our voice lower and louder, because our skull transmits low frequencies better than air does. Shokz takes advantage of natural bone conduction by placing electromechanical transducers in wireless earphones, which turn sounds into vibrations and send them directly through your skull’s bones to your inner ear, bypassing your eardrum.
