Athena strengthens logistics at its Hangzhou facility ti boost SKF and Athena producr distribution in Asia

Alonte, July 30 2025 — Athena announces the enhancement of its logistics operations at the Athena Hangzhou plant, aimed at improving the distribution of SKF and Athena products across China and Southeast Asia.

This initiative is part of Athena’s broader international expansion strategy and addresses the growing demand for speed, local availability, and commercial support in Asian markets. The new logistics hub will increase supply efficiency through local stock availability, the ability to process payments in local currency, and direct management of operations on the ground.

The new hub will serve not only the Chinese market but also the entire Southeast Asia region, enhancing Athena’s capacity to promptly respond to steadily growing demand.

In addition to SKF products, the facility will also house a selection of Athena-branded items, including: loose gaskets, gasket kits, cylinders, and thermal units. These products will benefit from the same logistical advantages: local availability, fast shipping, and simplified purchasing procedures.

To further strengthen this strategy of local presence, Athena will participate for the first time in CIMAMotor 2025 (Hall 5, Booth 5T62), the leading motorcycle trade fair in China, taking place in Chongqing from September 19 to 22, together with its electronics division GET and the distributed brand SKF. The event marks a significant milestone in the Group’s growth in Asia, highlighting an integrated approach that combines technological innovation, advanced logistics, and a direct presence in key markets. On display, a selection of internally developed solutions that reflect the excellence of Made in Italy engineering: Athena thermal units, pistons, and gaskets; GET’s SX1 Pro ECU, the SX1 Connect device, SX1 Controller, and SX1 LC-GPA; and SKF components including oil seals, dust seals, wheel kits, and Mud Scrapers.

This event represents a strategic step in Athena’s expansion in Asia, aiming to strengthen brand visibility and consolidate its position in dynamic, fast-growing markets. With this project, the company reaffirms its commitment to building an increasingly efficient distribution network through advanced logistics solutions and targeted investments to support global customers.
