cairoli, lupino, philippaerts and salvini special guests of athena’s 40th birthdaySeven times World Motocross Champion Tony Cairoli, Alessandro Lupino, David Philippaerts and Alex Salvini will be the special Athena guests for the 40th anniversary party of the company’s birth that will be Saturday, the 21st of September.

The extraordinary Cairoli doesn’t need any presentation. 63 Gp won on 147 participations, World Mx1 (Motocross Top Class) Champion from 2009 to 2013 and, if it isn’t enough, two Mx2 titles on 2005 and 2007.

Lupino races on the World Mx2 Championship, where it started when he was 16. This year, after some unlucky seasons, influenced by injuries, he finished into the Top Ten of the Championship and reached the podium twice.

David Philippaerts was World Mx1 Champion on 2008, championship where he still races with Honda Gariboldi team. He’s one of the most representative Italian rider.

These three riders will represent Italy in the next Cross of Nations and we believe that the team will honor our flag and our nation.

The fourth is maybe the less known, but Alex Salvini is current World E2 Enduro Champion (top enduro class) and he brought Italy at the first step of the podium after 13 years.

All these champions, that Athena support, are waiting all their fans on Saturday 21st into the Athena’s hall at Alonte, 13, via delle Albere to sign autographs and make photos with their own supporters.
